The context

A pilot-training organisation wanted to break free from the limits of a WordPress/Divi site that had become hard to evolve: slow, rigid, tied to its theme. The goal: a modern, fast, fully-controlled platform.

The challenge

Migrating without losing anything — content, SEO, history — while rebuilding a real platform: online courses (LMS), store, memberships, emailing, block editor.

My answer

• Next.js front-end + Node/Express back-end with a dedicated database.
• A WordPress/Divi export plugin I built to cleanly bring over the existing content.
• A bespoke block editor so the team stays autonomous.
• Showcase site, e-commerce and member area brought together.

The result

A bespoke platform, fast and maintainable, freed from the WordPress straitjacket. I know how to migrate off WordPress — the reverse of the usual path, and often the right one.
